Customer Support Representative

Due to continued growth, we are looking to expand our customer support team based in our sales office in Yardley, PA. Our Customer Support Representatives are expected to assist end-users of our educational web-based Software as a Service [SaaS] applications over the telephone. We are looking for bright, outgoing, and motivated individuals with a “can-do” attitude. The goal with this opening is to provide ample cross-training to learn about our products, and then hopefully advance into a sales role within our company. Our ideal candidates are effective communicators who possess both technical aptitude and leadership potential.


Responsibilities include:

  • Tackle incoming client calls/e-mails related to application questions, application use, technical issues, and/or product and service orders.
  • Engage in detailed conversation with customers to understand their needs and offer solutions.
  • Quickly learn the various web-based software applications that we offer & utilize.
  • Being self-motivated, with the ability to set & achieve self-imposed goals / objectives with minimal direction or supervision.
  • Cross-train with the sales team in order to develop the sales skills necessary to transition in to a sales role within the company.
  • Build and manage a pipeline of sales opportunities through up-selling existing & new clients when necessary.
  • Willing to work nights and Saturdays, as needed.


Qualifications Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
  • 1 year of customer-service and/or sales experience is preferred.
  • Sales-oriented attitude; interest/desire to grow into a sales role in the future.
  • Ability to maintain a positive, enthusiastic, and professional demeanor at all times is required
  • Technical training related to software, network services and/or online applications.
  • Strong working knowledge of the Internet, web-based applications, and MS-Office software tools.
  • Excellent communications skills (verbal and written) with the ability to effectively converse & interact with the sales team to offer insight, solutions, and resolve issues.
  • Excellent listening, time management and organizational skills.
  • Experience in an IT and/or Software Helpdesk Support is a plus, but not required.

Remote Essay Scorer

Job Duties:

Reporting to the Manager, Writing Support and Scoring Services, the Remote Scorer is responsible for assessing higher education level writing. The Remote Scorer is responsible for reading and understanding the scoring guidelines for each prompt assessed, maintaining inter- and intra-rater agreement rates, and providing scoring using Vantage proprietary rubrics.

  • Assist in all aspects of English education prompt development and essay scoring

  • Higher education level writing response scoring

  • Establishing a 75% exact inter-rater agreement within five days of training

  • Maintaining 75% inter- and intra-rater agreement rates during scoring

  • Justifying scoring upon request using the language of the Vantage rubric and the standards established for the prompts

  • Ensure that all program services / products are of high quality, completed on time, and delivered on budget

  • Assist in the preparation of Scoring Services documentation

  • Engage in reviews about prompt performance

Associate Psychometrician (Langhorne, PA)

Vantage Learning is actively seeking an experienced professional to join our Content & Assessment team as an Associate Psychometrician to support assessment delivery efforts within our Langhorne, PA office. You will be involved in planning, coordinating and performing job analyses for various clients. You will help support and coach junior staff in creating job analysis surveys, collecting and analyzing job analyses data, and creating job analyses reports. Additional duties include, but are not limited to:

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with all statistical work flow throughout the company. Plan, coordinate, and coach junior in all aspects of establishing test specifications, item development workshops, item entry and edit, item review and review meetings, test creation and test review meetings

  • Design, develop and perform validation studies on an as needed basis. Assist and coach junior staff with validation studies and reports

  • Document best practices; processes and procedures; and continually improve established operating procedures

  • Attend client scoring sessions including oral assignments; participate in the scoring process; calculation of scores; and score interpretation

  • Develop score interpretation materials and testing program publications. Conduct and report on complex research. Work at a high level of skills, both independently and as part of a team, in all phases of statistical analysis

  • Plan, coordinate, and conduct the statistical work required for score reporting and date interpretation for complex testing programs

  • Create statistical and research plans and review results for reasonableness and accuracy

  • Assume primary responsibility for designing, developing, and documenting technical and operating procedures and statistical guidelines for assigned programs

  • Conduct routine statistical analyses across various programs, as necessary, which may include item analyses, DIF analyses, frequency analyses, equating analyses, IRT analyses and other statistical analyses common to the industry

  • Assist sales with the writing of the statistical and test development sections of proposals

  • Work with clients in connection with designing certification and licensure programs including, but not limited to, holding item writing workshops, test specification meetings, cut score study workshops, conducting validation studies and performing other data analysis, as required

  • Be familiar with national industry standards and remain current in the field

  • Analyze and create new Intellimetric® models for new essays/constructed response items

  • Assist in quality control measures to ensure reports and analyses are without error

  • Prepare validation, reliability, IM modeling, and other statistical reports, as needed

  • Some travel may be required

Requirements:

  • M.S. in Psychometrics, Industrial Organization, Psychology, Statistics, or in a related field is required at a minimum (Ph.D. graduates are encouraged to apply – advanced education will be considered in lieu of experience).

  • Experience in Job Analysis, Test Development, and Data Analysis

  • Strong leadership skills (ideal candidates have management experience).

  • Experience with item analyses, DIF analyses, frequency analyses, equating analyses; IRT analyses and other statistical analyses common to the industry

  • Must be able to work independently

  • Previous work with employment, certification, and licensure assessments is heavily-preferred
